Fadey has always been curious about what we cannot see, and the fundamentals of what is really happening in living organisms at the microscopic level. In 2013, he completed his H.B.Sc in Biochemistry with specialization in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of Ottawa. He also conducted his Honours Research Project with Dr. Richard Hébert at the Kidney Research Centre in a biosafety level II laboratory. Fadey has experience culturing and performing in vitro experiments on prokaryotic cells and eukaryotic cell lines transgenic with the SV-40 virus.
From the age of 14, his dream of owning a business and his interest in dentistry inspired new ideas, and has helped motivate the OCDCC team to solve new provocations that the dental community is constantly being faced with. After completing his undergraduate degree, he initially set-out to pursue a career as a Dentist. Today, he finds a new way of putting smiles on people’s faces while still benefiting the welfare of his community. Fadey is the founder of OCDCC and is our Infection Prevention and Control compliance specialist.
When not in the office you might find Fadey on the tennis court, or wherever the wind is blowing sideshore on his Tanzer 22 sailboat! 🎾 ⛵️ 🌊
Hala obtained her professional title as a Registered Dental Hygienist (R.D.H) from the Canadian National Institute of Health (CNIH) in 2012. She has over 7 years of experience serving the Ottawa region as a RDH and has contributed many hours towards our #LetsCleanTlThereIsACure campaign. Hala’s insights towards the lack of professional and qualified cleaners to support the work of Dental Healthcare Providers, pre- and post-pandemic, is what inspired the Ottawa Dental Clinic Cleaners platform. She is passionate about promoting proper oral hygiene and continues to keep us informed about the latest developments and guide lines from Public Health Ontario, the CDHO (College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario), and the RCDSO (Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario).
In her spare time, she enjoys spending quality time with her family and sipping on icecaps to help her keep up with her busy 3-year old boy, Yassin!
